Logitech recently released its first Conference Room Camera with support for Lync. I received one almost immediately. Setup was relatively straight forward. It is a simple plug and play device and works out of the box with Lync without installing any special software or drivers. The camera can either sit on the base or has an extender that makes it look like one of the creatures from the Monsters Inc. movie. The camera can be rotated and has a zoom in and out feature that is accessible from the remote and the camera base. Overall the quality of the camera is excellent and it is extremely easy to setup and use.

  • Price! At $250 this is the least expensive conference room camera currently out.
  • Picture quality for point to point is 720P
  • Easy setup – Plug and Play
  • Full Duplex speaker with noise canceling microphone

  • Does not automatically track users if they move unlike higher end conferencing systems.
  • Using the remote to move the camera produces an audible sound that the users on the far end are able to hear.

*Please note that this device was tested only with Lync 2010 not the beta of 2013.
